Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Executive Summary

AIR® Aerial Fitness is seeking a high-caliber, results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale our global operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will be the architect of our franchise support systems, ensuring operational excellence across all studio locations. This individual will bridge the gap between high-level brand vision and daily execution, driving franchisee profitability, brand consistency, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Franchise Operations & Support: Overhaul and manage the end-to-end franchisee support ecosystem, including site selection guidance, studio openings, and ongoing operational audits..

  • Performance Metrics: Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for franchisees, providing data-driven coaching to improve studio revenue and retention.

  • Process Optimization: Refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all studio functions—from front-desk sales and instructor training.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead the corporate team in marketing, training, and tech to ensure all departments are aligned with the franchise network's needs.

  • Vendor & Asset Management: Manage corporate partnerships to ensure studios have the tools required for success.

Qualifications

  • Business Leadership: Minimum 3–5 years in a senior operations role (COO, VP of Operations, or similar).

  • Franchise Expertise (Highly Preferred): Deep understanding of the FDD environment, franchisee relations, and scaling a franchise model.

  • Fitness Industry Background (Plus): Experience in boutique fitness, wellness, or membership-based models is a significant advantage.

  • Education: 4 year degree or higher in Business Administration.

  • Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire a diverse network of independent business owners.

  • Agility: A "builder" mindset—comfortable moving from high-level strategy to "boots-on-the-ground" execution.

Job Title: Studio Operations Reporting Associate (Part-Time)

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Location: Remote

Position Type: Part-Time (approx. 20 hours per month)

Role Mission

The Studio Operations Reporting Associate is responsible for transforming raw data into the actionable insights that drive our franchise network. This role isn't just about "pulling reports"—it’s about data mining across various platforms to identify trends, pinpoint non-performing studios, and draft the strategic roadmaps our owners need to increase profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Mining & Synthesis: Extract and aggregate monthly data from various studio management platforms.

  • Actionable Reporting: Develop "Health of the Studio" reports that highlight key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead conversion, retention rates, and margin trends.

  • Strategy Drafting: Based on data findings, draft initial actionable plans and "Performance Improvement Plan" templates for review by the CEO.

  • Audit Support: Assist in preparing the comprehensive annual and quarterly reports used in Studio Operations Meetings.

  • Trend Analysis: Identify system-wide patterns to help corporate refine brand-wide recommendations.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.

  • Excel Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, complex formulas, and data visualization).

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to look at a spreadsheet and immediately see the "story" or the "problem."

  • Experience (Plus): Previous experience in a Fitness Franchise environment or multi-unit reporting is a major advantage.

  • Communication: Strong written skills to turn data points into clear, professional executive summaries for franchisees.
