DIRECTOR OF FRANCHISING - CHICAGO, IL

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for supporting our franchise portfolio and driving optimal operational performance at the franchised studio level.  This position reports directly to the President and will have accountability in the following areas: new franchisee on-boarding, manage back-end support for franchisees, analyze franchisee financial & operational performance, and responsible for franchisee adoption of the company’s operational, sales and marketing standards.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Manage back-end support (inquiries and requests) for new and existing franchisees, including the development and delivery of training

• Perform current state assessments to identify issues, challenges and gaps in relation to the franchisee’s business goals

• Provide strategic and operational franchisee recommendations to improve the customer and team experience and increase revenue and customer retention

• Develop monthly franchising reporting for leadership review, including analysis of key sales and operational metrics

• Conduct frequent reviews and evaluations of franchisees’ adoption and execution of the company’s operational, sales and marketing standards. 

• Develop and monitor remediation and action plans resolving any non-compliance; present findings and progress to leadership


EDUCATION:

Required Minimum: BS Degree in Business Admin or related discipline

Preferred: MBA


EXPERIENCE:

Required Minimum: 3+ years' experience in corporate franchising and/or management/operations consulting

Preferred: 5+ years' experience in corporate franchising and/or management/operations consulting


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES: 

• Ability to work with limited supervision, conferring with leadership on unusual matters

• Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality

• Flexibility to travel

• Read, analyze and interpret Policies, Contracts, Journals, Financial Reports and Legal Documents

• Review Cost and Income Reports and other related Accounting Concepts to practical situations

• Understanding of issues and challenges facing studio franchises and trends in fitness

• Exposure to target operating model design

• Demonstrate project management with a proven track record in delivering high quality project or workstream outputs

• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills; resolving conflicting interests with the goal of obtaining cooperation

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

• Solid MS skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
